Gordie Doucette
Doucette, Howard (Gordon) Peter,
Went to be with his Saviour on Friday, November 1, 2019 at the age of 72 at Freeport Hospital in Kitchener. Gordie was born in North Bay, Ontario on August 22, 1947 to proud parents Howard and Ethel Doucette. Gordie was predeceased by his father Howard Doucette. Gordie worked at the Budd Automotive Plant for 40 years until his retirement at the age of 60. The family wishes to extend their great appreciation to Dr. Koke, the nurses and staff at Freeport Hospital who tended to Gordie's needs, making his days there as comfortable as possible. Their kindness and compassion towards him and the family will always be remembered. The family would also like to extend their appreciation to Muriel, his neighbour, who always extended her kindness and help to him. We are also grateful for other neighbours and friends who were there for him. A special thank you to Jeff, his care worker, who walked through a lot of this journey with him.
