Ryan, Heidi:
With loving family at her side, Heidi passed away after a brief illness on Monday, July 29, 2019 at K-W Campus of Grand River Hospital at the age of 71.
Beloved wife of the late David Paul Ryan (2015). Loving mother of Dave and his wife Kari Ryan. Cherished grandma of Kennedy and Carter. Dear sister of Anne (Guy) Voisin. Remembered fondly by her nieces, Kelly Voisin (J.P. Poole), Jenna (Jason) Becker and her great nieces, Brooklyn and Paige. Survived also by David's family, Don Purcer, Dawn, Mark, Terri, David and their families.
Predeceased by her parents, John and Mary Distler.
She retired as one of the first female Vice Presidents with the Bank of Nova Scotia in 2005 after 39 dedicated years. Heidi was a trail blazer and mentor to many in the bank; she was proud and honoured to work with her colleagues and watch them advance in their careers.
Heidi's family will receive relatives and friends at the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick Street, Kitchener, 519-749-8467 on Thursday, August 1, 2019 from 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm & 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm. Her memorial service will be held in the Funeral Home Chapel on Friday August 2, 2019 at 10:30am. A reception will follow. Burial in Woodland Cemetery.
As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Kawasaki Disease Canada would be appreciated by the family (cards available at the funeral home).
