Passed away on December 18th at Barnswallow Place Care Community, Elmira at the age of 89.
Hazel was predeceased by her husband Ralph (2016), her sister, Dorothy Gower and her brother, Clarence Dick.
Hazel is survived by her daughter, Holly (Mark Couch) of Guelph and son, Geoffrey (Mary Sams) of Collierville, Tennessee. She is also survived by her brother Ken (Doreen) Dick of Carman, MB.
The family wishes to thank the staff at Barnswallow Place for their excellent care of our Mother and also to thank the staff at Paramed whose assistance and care allowed Hazel to stay in the family home until January 2023. Many thanks also to her long-time friends Joy Stephenson, who was always an advocate for Hazel's health and well-being, and Bruce Jacobs, who was always willing to assist with the maintenance of her home as well as anything else that he could help with.
A Celebration Of Life will be held at the Henry Walser Funeral Home Ltd. 507 Frederick Street, Kitchener, 519-749-8467 on Sunday April 28, 2024 from 1:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m. with memories shared at 2:00 p.m.
Hazel was a devoted Kitchener Rangers fan and loved to listen to the games on her radio. And she never met a Jumble puzzle that she didn't want to solve.
