Obituary for Gregory Edward Lautenschlager

Lautenschlager, Gregory Edward
With great sadness we announce that Greg passed away suddenly on Tuesday, September 8, 2020 at the age of 47. Beloved husband, best friend and soul mate of Adrienne Lautenschlager. Loving son of Larry and Carole Lautenschlager and son-in-law of Don and Bonnie Fleet. Dear brother of Jennifer Nicholl (Steve), Jeff Lautenschlager (Melissa) and brother-in-law of Victor Contreras (Noor). Sadly missed by step sister Amanda Johnson (Andrew). Dear uncle of Rebecca, Kayla (Daniel), Tyson, Courtney, Zarah ("Uncle Greggie") and great-uncle of Kayden. Sadly missed by his fur babies Smokey and Bandit. Sadly missed by his closest of friends Kevin & Lisa O'Drowsky, Jesse Kolaritsch & Ric & Jenn Christiansen, as well as many many more friends and co-workers both previous and current.

Greg is my best friend and the absolute love of my life and soul mate. I will forever carry him with me in my heart as I know all who knew him will. He will be remembered by all as a fun loving guy who easily made people smile and laugh. But at the same time was steadfast in his beliefs. He made such and impression on everyone he met and always thought of others first. Knowing Greg was an adventure for sure, you just never knew what he would come up with next. His love of animals was unsurpassed and he made friends with each and every one he came across. He was also one of the biggest "foodies" I knew and he loved to try the weird and wonderful as I would call it, as mentioned by a couple of friends he was the one you tried "new restaurants and foods with!" His knowledge and love of music will never be forgotten he was eclectic in his likes from pop, rap, some dance even some country but he was a true rocker from some of the lightest of rock to the heaviest of it. But ALWAYS a Pink Floyd fan first and foremost. And it is with this in mind that I leave these few versus of his favourite Pink Floyd song from me to him. always and forever, I know he will be waiting for me in the next life and I know that I will be once more wrapped in his arms.

"Nobody knows where you are.
How near or how far.
Shine on you Crazy Diamond!

Pile on many more layers.
And I'll be joining you there.
Shine on you Crazy Diamond!

And we'll bask in the shadow, of yesterday's triumph.
And sail on the steel breeze!"

Love Always and Forever Adrienne! xoxoxoxo
