The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Gary Slimmon can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Thank you.

Condolence: Diane & family
I am so sorry to hear of Gary’s passing! He was a wonderful colleague! We worked together for many years as members of the WCBE Languages Subject Association and shared many comical as well as serious moments while he was at W-O and I was at EDSS. I feel bad I missed the celebration of his life this past Sunday which I fully intended to attend, May you be comforted by your many memories of his cheerful disposition!

Condolence: I will forever be grateful to Gary for taking a chance on me, a new graduate of teachers' college. His decision to pull me from a grade 7 and 8 French teaching position in Cambridge, for which I had signed a contract, opened so many doors for me and allowed me to exercise my strengths with the high school crowd, a group I loved. Merci M. Slimmon d'avoir influencé ma vie d'une façon positive.
