Obituary for Gary Brideau

Gary Roger Brideau:

June 21, 1952 - December 18, 2023


Passed away surrounded by family. Husband of 48 years to the late Debra Brideau (nee Quast; 2020)

Son of the late Albert and Irene (Desmarais) Brideau.

Proud father of Tim (Mary Jo), Nicole Lazin (David) and Victoria Trendell-Taylor (John).

Grandfather to Zachary, Cameron, Nathan, Logan, Terri, Hailee, Mason and Cole.

Survived by his brother Gilles Lalonde (Lucy). And nephews Glenn and Todd Lalonde.

Born in Kitchener, Ontario on June 21, 1952. Gary worked in the automotive business, always coming to rescue his kids when they needed it.

Gary loved the outdoors, spending much time hunting and fishing and enjoying time at his camp in Alban. Later on, he and his wife Deb moved to the Happy Hills Retirement Village where he always looked forward to Friday night Poker with his friends.

More recently, Gary enjoyed traveling with his partner in crime Deb Stright, making his way to Disney at the age of 71. He will be greatly missed by her and her sisters Deana Ceasar, Della Wilson, Cheryl Cole.

Gary's family will receive relatives and friends from 5:00 p.m.- 7:00 p.m on Wednesday, February 7th, 2024 at the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick Street, Kitchener, 519-749-8467.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in his honor to the Grand River Hospital Foundation- Cancer Centre or the SickKids Foundation.
