Obituary for Frieda Krause

Krause, Frieda
Following a lengthy illness, Frieda Krause went to be with her Lord and Saviour on Wednesday, November 2, 2022 at the age of 87. She joins her beloved husband Heinz to continue their beautiful romance for eternity.

She was born in Skierdy, Poland to Gustav Neumann and Natalia Lenz. Dear sister of Meta, Ella, and Ursula, she is predeceased by siblings Eduard, Hulda, Gerda, Olga, and Lilli.

She married Heinz in Schwelm, Germany in 1957. They immigrated to Canada in 1959, settling in Kitchener, Ontario, where they raised their beautiful family: Peter (Darlene), Harry (Maureen), Martin (Debora), Hannah (Martin), Christine (Glen) and David (Louise), 14 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren, who were cherished and spoiled with fresh baked goodies and gummy bears.

Her home was always open for anyone needing a warm meal or a compassionate, listening ear, and her potato salad, roladen and apple cake were legendary.

She is remembered for her compassion, hospitality, infectious laughter, and remarkable ability to efficiently organize large church events. Her faith was her bedrock; even in her final hours, hymns and prayers brought her great comfort and solace.
