Where does one begin to comment on the life of such a remarkable woman? Freda was a ray of sunshine, full of good common sense and heartwarming humour to all those who had the good fortune to have known her. She gave so freely of her time and her spirit, while facing such difficult physical struggles herself. Nothing was too much trouble or took too much time. The countless cards she sent; the phone calls she made. She possessed an endless wingspan sheltering broken hearts and shattered lives. There was always room in her heart and at her table for anyone who came through her door. She saw the good in everyone. Her faith was unshakable. What a lady. Although my time with Freda has come to an end and Thursday afternoons will seem forever empty, I shall carry her spirit and her goodness with me always. God speed my dear Friend.

I remember when Freda and her mother Elizabeth Blair became my neighbours in the Bluebird apartments many years ago. She was so excited that she was going to "see" the Gaithers and I thought she said Raptors. I said "wow" not knowing my mistake. I soon learned that Freda's primary love was to praise the Lord. Not only that she was well aware of the theological virtues of Faith, Hope and Charity.
She showed this by sharing them and sometimes "directing us."
We will her faith sharing, jokes and putting things in order for us.
We will miss you, Freda but we are so happy you are now seeing God "Face to face."
May eternal rest grant her, O Lord as she sings and dances with You.

Love and prayers
Your old friend, Tony.
