Condolence: Dear Michael, On behalf of my mother, Margaret Buick, I would like to express our family’s condolences to you. We were saddened to learn that your grandmother has passed away. We were your grandparents’ neighbours for many years. Your grandmother was a great walker, and in her travels, she would regularly pause to have conversations with us. I admired her vitality and perseverance. She had great love for you and your parents, and she took immense pride in your accomplishments. Your grandmother was also a woman of great faith, and I would often meet her walking to or from church. Undoubtedly, her faith sustained her throughout her lengthy life, and it is in that sure and certain hope of the resurrection to eternal life, that we may commend her to God’s safekeeping. Both of your grandparents were exceptional people whom I feel honoured to have known. I’m sure you must feel very proud to be descended from people of such honour and integrity.
