Obituary for Ernst Rogge

Ernst Richard Rogge
February 16, 1931 - June 11, 2019

As expressly desired, Ernie passed away at home with loved ones by his side. He was 88 years old. Born in Germany, he came to Canada to stay in 1955 with his newlywed wife by his side. He was a faithful provider who worked hard in various aspects of business and retired as an Office Manager. In retirement, he developed a vibrant Senior’s Ministry at his church and led it for over 10 years.

His dearly loved wife of more than 63 years, Maria (nee Guderian), his children and their spouses, Ron and Marie Rogge, Verena and Serge Lanoue, Dan and Natalie Rogge, and the many grandchildren and great grandchildren, who warmly called him Opa, miss him greatly.

Predeceased by his parents, Otto and Leontine and siblings Karl-Gotthelf, Christa Maria, Lisel, Wolfgang and Hermann. He is survived by siblings and their spouses, Edith, Hartmut and Gisela, Marianne and Harald, Peter and Helga, Hans-Jörg and Brigitte.

We rejoice in the many blessings that God bestowed upon Ernie over the years and reflect upon God's goodness to him. We celebrate his life!

Two viewing times will be hosted at Henry Walser Funeral Home, Kitchener on Friday, June 14th from 2pm - 4pm & 7pm - 9pm. The Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, June 15th, 2019 beginning at 2pm at New Life Church, 824 Thompson Road South Milton with a viewing for family and friends from 1pm - 2pm. A luncheon will follow Ernie's Celebration of Life in New Life Church’s facilities. A private family interment will be held at a later date.

As expressions of sympathy, donations to New Life Church-Lift High the Cross would be appreciated by the family.
