My son, Sean McDonald and I lived two doors away from Eleanor and Vaughan on Grangewood Crt. in Waterloo. Before they moved in, we were concerned that the new neighbours could never be as wonderful as the last, but how wrong we were! Eleanor told us later that once she saw our fluffy white dog, Rufus, on our front lawn, she was SOLD. There were may opportunities that our dog Rufus would be taken care of by his new "Grand Parents"! I remember the delicious Blueberry muffins that Eleanor would share with us and to this day still use her tried and true recipe. Eleanor's love of the colour purple was very evident through her home and to all her close friends and relatives. Eleanor always knew how to give help through her kindness, advice and a warm smile. We were so very blessed to have Eleanor and Vaughan as our friends and neighbours.
