Passed away peacefully following a brief illness at St. Mary's General Hospital on Wednesday, November 6, 2019 at the age of 70. Beloved wife of Dave for 48 years. Loving mother of Louise, Gareth (Bea) and Robert (Melanie). Proud "Granny" of Rebecca, Alex, Mackenzie, Robert, Keagen, Riley, Heather, Wesley and Abigail and great-grandmother of Olivia. Daughter of the late Thomas and Catherine Shuttleworth. Dear sister of Mary (late Arthur), Tom (June), Jim (Margaret), Cath (late Chris) and the late Dennis (late Lina). Fondly remembered by her many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Special thanks to the nurses and staff on the 7th floor at St. Mary's Hospital.
Eileen's family will receive relatives and friends from 2-5 p.m. on Sunday, November 10, 2019 at the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick Street, Kitchener, 519-749-8467. Funeral Mass at Blessed Sacrament RC Church, 305 Laurentian Drive, on Monday, November 11, 2019 at 10:30 a.m. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated (cards available at the funeral home).
