Peacefully passed away at AgeCare West Williams (formerly Chartwell Westmount) at the age of 84.
Beloved wife of Clarence for 66 years.
Loving mother of Robert Armbruster (Robyn Aikens) and Linda Hessel (Stewart Tripp).
Proud grandma of Ashley Hessel, Lisa Hessel (Dan Tardif), Benjamin (Carlee) Hessel, Liam Aikens-Armbruster and Evan Aikens-Armbruster and great-grandma of Brook-lynn, Braedan, Baylee and Emmett.
Sister-in-law of Merlene Yandt.
Predeceased by her parents Elgin and Alma Yandt, brother Grant Yandt, and son-in-law Wayne Hessel.
Eileen enjoyed 10 pin bowling with the seniors, cards and shuffleboard at Rockway Centre and her time at the Downtown Centre. Clarence and Eileen enjoyed many trips together where they made lifelong memories. Eileen's greatest treasure however, was her family, whom she loved so dearly.
Eileen's family wishes to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the staff at AgeCare West Williams who cared for Eileen in the past several years.
Cremation has taken place. Eileen's family will receive relatives and friends from 1:00 PM - 3:00 PM on Friday, December 15th, 2023 at the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick Street, Kitchener, 519-749-8467.
As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Lutherwood Child & Family Foundation would be appreciated by the family (cards available at the funeral home).
