Parniak, Edward:
Passed away on Friday, October 25, 2019 at Grand River Hospital at the age of 89. Beloved husband of Marilyn and father of Christopher, both of Kitchener. Predeceased by brother, Joseph Parniak, and parents Mary and Carl Parniak of Etobicoke. Ed will be greatly missed by his family and his extended family of pets.
Ed was born and lived in Toronto until moving to Simcoe in 1962 where he owned and operated a grocery store. Ed and his family moved to Kitchener in 1983. Ed had been an avid skier and was a member of the Chicopee Ski Club in Kitchener and had served on the board of directors. He also enjoyed playing hockey, golf and tennis and was a car enthusiast. Ed was a great sports fan. He had sponsored a junior hockey team in Simcoe which he promoted to a league championship in the
1970's.
Edward's family will receive friends to celebrate his life on Wednesday November 6th, 2019 from 3pm to 5pm at the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick Street, Kitchener, 519 749-8467. Cremation has taken place.
As an expression of sympathy, donations to the East Village Animal Hospital - Kitchener (a low income veterinary clinic) would be appreciated by the family on behalf of Edward (cards available at the funeral home).
