Passed away peacefully on Tuesday, December 3, 2019 at St. Mary's Hospital at the age of 82.
Beloved Husband of Loretta (nee McCabe) for 60 years.
Dear Father of Sue den Braasem (Paul), Sandy Bernier (Dean).
Dear Papa of Becky (Derek), Zach (Christal), Rhea (Tom), Emilee (Jordan), Hannah (Adam), Skylar.
Dear Great-Grandpa to Lexi, Amelie, Bella.
Dear Brother of John Mello, Mary Lasiter, Elizabeth Mello, Margaret Mello, David Mello (Greta), Doreen Swanson (David) and Arthur Mello (Peggy).
Dear Brother-in-law to Cathy Mello.
Preceased by his parents John and Sadie (nee Tavares) and his siblings Helen and Willie.
Eddie retired as Captain from the Kitchener Fire Service in 1994 after 32 years of service.
Eddie's family will receive relatives and friends on Thursday, December 5, 2019 from 2-4 and 7 -9 pm at the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick St., Kitchener 519-749-8467.
The liturgy service will take place at 1 pm on Friday, December 6, 2019 in the chapel of the funeral home followed by a reception.
Interment Memory Gardens Cemetery.
