Obituary for David Edward Blundon

David Edward Blundon
Blundon, David Edward "Nutsy":
Passed away peacefully with family by his side on Sunday, August 18th, 2019 at Barnswallow Place at the age of 78. Beloved husband of Chris for 50 years. Loving father of Leah (Brian Wettlaufer) and Luke (Lisa). Cherished grandpa of Madison, Kaitlyn and Ainsley. Special father figure to Stephen and his daughters, Hannah and Myah, of Brantford. David is now reunited with his brother and best friend, John. Survived by 6 brothers and sisters.
Dave was a retired employee of J.M. Schneider, where he spent 38 years wreaking havoc and pretending to work. David, also known as Nutsy among family and close friends, was an outdoorsman at heart. He was an avid fisherman, hunter and gardener. If something was broken, David could fix it. He believed duct tape and WD40 could fix anything! David was a jokester, loving to play pranks. His greatest loves were his family, granddaughters, and his granddogs.
A very special thank you to the wonderful care giving staff at Barnswallow Place (Pheasant Run) for their compassionate care and support shown to David and his family during his time with them.
A Celebration of David's life will be held on Sunday, September 29, 2019 from 1-5 p.m. Dockside at The Old Marina Restaurant (1947 McClintock Dr. Cambridge). Please come in casual attire.
Please visit www.henrywalser.com for David's memorial and service details. Arrangements entrusted to the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 519-749-8467.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Kitchener - Waterloo Humane Society or Parkinson Canada would be appreciated by the family (cards available at the funeral home).
