Obituary for Douglas Colin Stephenson

STEPHENSON, Douglas Colin

On Monday, November 4, 2019, Douglas Colin Stephenson passed away peacefully, surrounded by loved ones at Grand River Hospital at the age of 61. Doug was born on September 23, 1958 in Cambridge, Ontario to George and Beatrice Stephenson (deceased). He grew up in Hespeler with his siblings David (deceased), Dereck, Mavis, Kevin, Colleen and Mary Lou. He was a longterm employee of the City of Kitchener and enjoyed many days after his recent retirement on his motorcycle. Doug is survived by his beloved wife Yalexy Garcia Rodriguez, son Scott Stephenson and grand daughter Tamara Stephenson. Donations made to the Canadian Cancer Society and the Kitchener-Waterloo Humane Society in memory of Doug would be appreciated by the family.

Many good memories from days gone by of Cousin Doug Stephenson's visit with his Mom and Dad (Beatrice and George) to my parents cottage on Puslinch Lake & Grandma Ida and Grandpa Charlie Ringler's home on the Speed River. Rest in Peace Doug.

Doug was a good friend to me and others he knew and worked with.I worked with Doug for the better part of 30 years he was a great operator most people could not hold a candle to his talent.I will miss you my friend.Sean Mac Gorman.
