Maddick, Douglas Charles:
Passed away on Tuesday, December 3rd, 2019 at Freeport Campus of Grand River Hospital at the age of 84.
Beloved husband of the late Shirley Maddick (nee: Loree) (2016).
Loving Dad to Kevin and his wife Kathy, Brad and Barbara, Sue and her husband Mike Schmidt.
He will be remembered by 6 grandchildren, Jason and his wife Michelle, Steven and his wife Kate, Lindsey and her husband Jim Feeney, Brandon and his wife Jamie, Emilie and Garrett and their mother Andrea, along with 8 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by his sister Pat Fletcher,
He is also predeceased by his parents Arthur and Lillian Maddick and son Jeffrey (1988). He is survived by his brother-in-law Dennis Loree.
Douglas was a past member of the Lions Club and enjoyed working on model airplanes and fishing. He was employed by Orr Automobiles and Stedelbauer Motors for 27 years and 18 years at London Recreational Contracting. He was a loving and devoted father and grandfather.
Cremation has taken place.
As per Doug's wishes there will be no formal service, a family graveside service will take place at a later date
Douglas's family will receive relatives and friends from 4:00 pm - 7:00 pm on Sunday, December 8th, 2019 at the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick Street, Kitchener, 519-749-8467.
As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family (cards available at the funeral home).
