Passed away peacefully, surrounded by the love of family on Thursday, November 10, 2022 at The Village of Winston Park at the age of 92.

Beloved wife of the late Donald Underwood (2008).

Loving mother of Janice Hallman (Lawrie), Gayle McLellan (Brian) and Kim Underwood (Judy).

Dear grandmother of Corey (Sunnie) Hallman, Carie (Myron) Ali, Trevor (Anne) McLellan, Erin (Rob) Aldridge, Scott (Santi) Underwood, Andrew (Saifora) Underwood.

Great grandma (Gi-Gi) of Maya, Khalil and Jasmyn, Owen and Callie, Jack and Lily, Ryder and Leighton, Tyler and Tanya, Brooklyn and Sydney.

Predeceased by her son David, granddaughter Krystal and great-grandchildren Destany and Jaxon.

Dorris was a faithful member of St. Peters Lutheran Church.

Dorris retired from the University of Waterloo where "back in the day" she was known as "Machine Gun Dorris" because of her fast and furious typing skills. An Underwood typewriter was dedicated to her when she retired.

Dorris was known for being one the the cardiest people around, birthday cards and every occasion you could bet to find a card or two from her in the mail or dropped off in person.

The family of Dorris will receive relatives and friends from 4:00 - 7:00 p.m. on Monday, November 21, 2022 at the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick St., Kitchener 519-749-8467.

A private family interment will take place at St. Peter's Lutheran Cemetery at a later date,

As expressions of sympathy, donations to the MS Society of Canada - Grand River Chapter or the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Ontario would be appreciated by the family (cards available at the funeral home).
