Obituary for Dorothy Olinskie
Olinskie, Dorothy (nee Roeder)
Passed away peacefully to be with our Lord after a brief illness on March 7, 2023 at the age of 84.
Predeceased by her mother Mabel, father Gordon, brothers Larry and Butch, brothers-in-law Les and Leonard and 1 grandchild. She leaves behind her children Sharon, Rick (Shayna), Kerry (Carolyn), Mary Ann (Rich), Kathy (Gerard), several grand and great grand children, 7 sisters, 2 brothers and many nieces and nephews.
While living in Muskoka she loved to watch and feed the deer. Some had names and would come when called for apple slices and carrots. She greatly enjoyed bingo, the casino and scratch tickets that she was always lucky with. Dorothy loved her family and many friends, was stubborn, had a wonderful sense of humour and a contagious laugh.
Dorothy's family will receive relatives and friends from 5-8pm on Saturday March 18, 2023 at the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick St, Kitchener, (519) 749-8467. Funeral service in the spring with details to follow. Interment at St. Peter's Lutheran Cemetery in Heidelberg.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Aspen Valley Wildlife Sanctuary or The Lung Health Foundation - COPD would be appreciated (cards available at the funeral home).
