Barton, Doris May (nee Brohman)
Passed away peacefully at Lanark Heights Long Term Care on Wednesday, February 10, 2021 at the age of 97. Born in Breslau, May 21, 1923, Doris was the daughter of the late Laura (nee Reinhart) and Clement Brohman. She will be lovingly remembered and greatly missed by sisters Kathleen Brohman and Muriel Sandrock, nieces Debbie Hertzberger (Rich), Dianne Dolby (John) and nephew Mark Sandrock (Bonnie) and their families, sister-in-law Betty Brohman, as well as many other nieces and nephews. Predeceased by brothers Willard, Tom and Cyril Brohman, and sister Rosemary Hawkins. Doris retired from Spanner Imports, where she was fondly known as 'the licorice lady', after a long career selling women's clothing. She was a member of Sacred Heart Church Catholic Women's League from 1986-2019. Special thanks to the staff at Lanark Heights LTC for the excellent care Doris received in the 5 years she was there.
Cremation has taken place. A private family service will be held at the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 519-749-8467. Extended family and friends may view the service on Tuesday, February 16, 2021 at 3 p.m via the following livestream link: https://www.henrywalser.com/live-streaming
