Renaud, Donna Jean (nee Abbott)
Passed away peacefully on Saturday, February 20, 2021 at the age of 85 at St. Mary's Hospital.
Beloved wife of the late William (Bill) Renaud (2013)
Mother of Michelle Krulicki, Bill, Jacquie, Jean-Paul (Pam), Terry
and grandchildren Justin (Sarah), Marisa (Simon), Chase (Brooke), Christian (Kyla), Madeleine (Rob) and Tristan.
Great- grandmother of Ryan, Eliana, Jackson, William, Sadie and Ida.
Donna was born in Toronto, and married the love of her life, Bill, on May 17th, 1958.
Lovingly survived by her sister Loretta Robertson and her brother Ross Abbott (Karen).
Predeceased by her parents, Wilf and Olive Abbott and brother-in-law John Hoffman.
Our Mom was the ultimate caregiver to our family
"She was remarkably strong as she cared for our father (Mr. Wonderful) at home through his long battle with Parkinson's. Mom slept in a chair next to him, forgoing the pullout on the other side of the room, because she was also stubborn.
Mom cherished and idolized her big sister and brother. Her bond with her siblings and sister-in-law was exceptionally close as they knew her as she always was - their kid sister.
With 5 kids and 2 grandchildren growing up in the house, Mom welcomed all our friends. Broadleaf was the place to be - there was always room, always food and Donna Renaud's taxi service was always open regardless of time.
Mom never uttered the sentiment, "Gee, I'd love to have a dog", however, she always gave-in and loved and cared for the 15 or so pups we brought home to join the family.
Even in our 50's Mom would try to stuff money into our pockets to the extent of chasing us out the door!
Mom was shy by nature yet made friends in her daily routines. She had a way of finding and collecting the good hearts in this world.
She took solace in her strong faith and the community at St. Francis of Assisi RC Church.
Most of all, Mom passionately loved all her family, all of us messy Renauds as she held us tightly in her heart."
We love you Mom. Thank You. Your job is done.

Donna's family will receive relatives and friends from on Friday, February 26th, 2021 at the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick Street, Kitchener, 519-749-8467 from 6-8pm . Guests must RSVP to attend Donna's visitation and masks are required. A private family Liturgy Service will be held. Relatives and friends may watch the service on Saturday, February 27th, 2021 at 6:30pm. For those unable to attend, the service may be viewed via livestream at https://www.henrywalser.com/live-streaming Interment Woodland cemetery.
As expressions of sympathy, donations to St. Francis of Assisi RC Church or the Congregation of the Resurrection would be appreciated by the family (cards available at the funeral home).
