Obituary for Donna Lynne Lamont
Lamont, Donna Lynne "DL" (nee Shobbrook)
Passed away on March 3, 2023. She was the loving wife of Ted Lamont (2016) for 54 years. Donna Lynne is predeceased by her parents Leonard and Mary Shobbrook and her brother Doug Shobbrook (2022). Donna Lynne leaves behind her brothers-in-law Bruce (Marg) Lamont, and Sandy (Judy) Lamont, and sisters-in-law Mary (Frank) Boyle and Paulette Shobbrook. She leaves behind several nieces and nephews, and great nieces and nephews.
Donna Lynne was a longtime Bell employee. She and Ted had a wonderful cottage on Lake Manitou for over 25 years. They had race horses also for 15 years.
The family is grateful for the care and support of the nurses, PSWs, and doctors during DL's time at HuronLea, Brussels. DL was there for two and a half years during COVID, but her spirits were good.
As per Donna Lynne's wishes, cremation has taken place.
Donna Lynne's family will receive relatives and friends from 2:30 to 3:15 p.m. on Saturday, March 11 at the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick Street, Kitchener, 519-749-8467. A Memorial Service will be held at 3:30 p.m. in the chapel with a reception to follow.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Alzheimer Society of Huron County, CNIB (Southwest District), or a charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family (cards available at the funeral home).
