Obituary for Dona Mae Wiegand
Wiegand, Dona Mae:
Passed away peacefully on November 3, 2022 at Grand River Hospital at the age of 85.
Loving mother of Tawni Klarke.
Grandma of Jacob, Charlotte, Adam and Levi.
Cherished sister of the late Joy Rickert and Nadine Richardson.
Loving aunt of Becky (Gord) Thompson, Christine (Jim) Voisin, Corey (Lynda) Rickert and Tim (Carrie) Rickert.
Dona was up for anything. In her younger years she solo travelled the US and other
international destinations, rode her horse Chippy, and enjoyed camping and spending time with her nieces and nephews. She continued to travel with her daughter and was enthusiastically involved in all of her pursuits growing up. She had a fondness for the South West US and spent her retirement going on desert rides on her ATV’s and sand rails with other community members from Gold Rock Ranch. Her sense of adventure never quit, even trying sky diving for her 75th birthday. More recently, she was very involved in whatever the social director at Waterloo Heights had planned and was well known and liked by the many people she shared residence with.
Dona's family will receive relatives and friends at the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick Street, Kitchener, 519-749-8467 for a Celebration of life on Sunday, December 4th, 2022 at 11:00am. Reception to follow.
