Callaghan, Doreen May:
Passed away peacefully on Wednesday, June 12, 2019 at Providence Health Care at the age of 92.
Loving mother of Listene, Errol, and Hope (Donovan). Predeceased by her daughter Bebzie.
Cherished grandma of nine grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Dear sister of Leon. Predeceased by her siblings Ivy, Novelette, and Stan as well as her parents Gerald and Alice.
Doreen enjoyed playing the organ for the church choir with her sister when they were young. She was also a very talented seamstress and meticulously sewed any ladies' clothing including beautiful wedding gowns. She loved to cook and was kind to a fault. Nobody could leave her home without being fed.
Doreen's family will receive relatives and friends from 11:30 a.m. - 12:15 p.m. on June 29, 2019 at the International Gospel Centre 35 Charles St. E. Kitchener prior to the service at 12:30 p.m. Interment will take place at Williamsburg Cemetery with reception to follow at Trinity Banquet Hall 700 Fischer-Hallman Rd. Kitchener, Ontario.
As expressions of sympathy, donations to the International Gospel Centre would be appreciated by the family (cards available at the funeral home). Arrangements entrusted to the Henry Walser Funeral Home (519) 749-8467.
