Obituary for Dianne Victoria Brohman (Schott)

Brohman, Dianne

Surrounded by her family and at peace, Dianne died on Tuesday, July 9, 2019.

She will be forever missed by her beloved husband, Gerald, and by her loving children, Michelle (Kelly), Steve (Sarah), and Stacey (Shawn). Nana was her grandchildren’s’ #1 fan and could be spotted in arenas and stadiums across the country supporting Chelsea & Tyler, Megan & Erin, and Owen & Cooper. She cherished the unwavering friendship of Anita and Bob Weiler. Predeceased by her parents, Edward & Alice Schott, along with several siblings; and, in-laws, Ralph & Marie Brohman. Survived by siblings Donnie (Carol), Willard (Millie) and Sandra Schott; in-laws Laverne (Donna) Brohman, Margaret (Dave) Mintz, Debbie MacNab, Phyllis (Brian) Schmalz, Doug Brohman, and Lorraine Brohman, plus the many nieces and nephews she adored.

Mom’s recent cancer diagnosis left her body and spirit devastated and in pain. She chose not to allow cancer the last word and is now at peace. We are so grateful to Drs. Franchetto and Moolman and all the staff on 6A at Grand River Hospital for the kindness and dignity with which they cared for her.

Our family will receive relatives and friends at Henry Walser Funeral Home (507 Frederick St., Kitchener, 519-749-8467) from 5:00 - 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 11, 2019.

Cremation has taken place. A private family interment will occur on Friday morning.

The Weber family have been true friends to our parents and we invite family and friends to celebrate her life at The Commercial Tavern in Maryhill on Friday, July 12, from 3-5 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy can be directed to St. Paul’s Lutheran Church (Erbsville), Dying with Dignity Canada or the Grand River Hospital Foundation-Cancer Centre.
