Obituary for Despina Kalenderian

Despina Kalenderian
KALENDERIAN, Despina (Bertha)- died peacefully on Wednesday June 3, 2020, of Kitchener in her 89th year.

Beloved wife of the late, Arthur Kalenderian. Loving mother to her three children Arpo Kalenderian (Karen), Jack Kalenderian (Nancy) and Sophia Galatsis (George). Cherished grandmother to Jacob (Melissa) and Brittany Kalenderian (Nathan) and late Nicholas and Elena Galatsis and great grandmother to Ella. She was born in Athens, Greece and later immigrated to Canada where she met her beloved husband, Arthur. Some of their sweetest memories together is shown through their many travels and vacations around the world. One of her outstanding qualities was her big generous heart and her desire to care for others which she portrayed as a hard working Nurse. These qualities continued throughout her entire life and she never hesitated to offer her support and assistance to anyone in need. She unconditionally loved her family more than anything and thoroughly enjoyed spoiling her children and grandchildren. Her compassion for her family and others were truly noticed and appreciated. She had a huge love for cats and being around them would always brighten up her day. She was remembered for many years of contribution and association to the Ladies Philoptochos at St Peter and Paul Greek Orthodox Church.

A private burial will take place with immediate family on Friday June 5th.

As expressions of sympathy, donations can be made in Despina's memory to the Ladies Philoptochos at St Peter and Paul Greek Orthodox Church or to your local Food Bank.
