Now at peace, Denice passed away at Huron Hospice on Thursday, May 18, 2023 at the age of 65. Beloved wife of Mike Schattner. Loving mother of Heather Schattner Canlas (Joseph) and Katherine Van Driessche. Proud Nana of Maya, Jakob and Sophia Canlas and Abby and Carter Van Driessche. Beloved daughter of Janet and the late Douglas Horne and daughter-in-law of Isolde and the late Ortwin Schattner. Dear sister of Susan Griesbaum (James) and sister-in-law of Herb Schattner (Ingrid).
Denice's family will receive relatives and friends from 6-6:45 p.m. on Tuesday, May 23, 2023 at the New Apostolic Church - Kitchener Central, 160 Margaret Ave., Kitchener. Memorial Service at the Church on Tuesday at 7 p.m. with Shepherd Corey Lindner officiating. Reception to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations to Huron Residential Hospice or London Health Sciences Foundation would be appreciated (cards available at the Henry Walser Funeral Home)
