Obituary for Debra Anne McFadden (Woods)

Debra Anne McFadden (Woods)
McFadden, Debbie

Debbie passed away on Wednesday, November 20, 2019 leaving behind a massive void in a huge number of lives. Deb's family, mother Helen Woods, sister Judy Woods (Ron Fields), brother Bill Ganner (Carolyn), uncles, aunt, cousins and nieces will miss her terribly. Debbie was predeceased by her dad Don Ganner, grandma and grandpa Hammond, aunt Pat and cousin Brittany. She touched a lot of people's lives, especially past partners, John M, John F and Brett S. Debbie's other family, all the staff and members of Westmount Golf and Country Club, will miss her greatly as well. Deb will be mostly missed by her best furry pal Zinny.

Debbie spent her life in the hospitality industry and was a true pro in all of her endeavours. With Brett, they started Select Service Catering and then moved on to open Verses Restaurant, which brought them huge success and notoriety in the industry. Deb moved on to Westmount Golf and Country Club where she added her own personal touches. Folks were a little leary at first but soon came to love and respect her professionalism and sincere caring for all the members and staff. She will be genuinely missed by all the "up and coming members" as she enjoyed having all kinds of kids events. She truly loved all of them. Deb's family would like to thank all the people who have been cheering her on with prayers, kind words and all of the generosity and love they have shown. It has been an overwhelming experience for us, and for her friend and work partner Brad as well.

We would like to invite family and friends to Westmount Golf Club, 50 Inverness Dr., Kitchener, on Monday, December 9 from 1:30-4:30 p.m. to celebrate Debbie's life with lots of love, laughter and an amazing glass of wine! If desired, Debbie requests donations to the Hospice of Waterloo Region (cards available at the Henry Walser Funeral Home) . Thank you to the doctors and nurses at St. Mary’s and Grand River Hospitals for their support.
