Brezina, Debra "Debbie" (nee Simmons)

It’s with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Debbie Mae Brezina (nee Simmons), after a courageous battle with cancer.

Debbie leaves behind her husband Richard Cooney, son Doug (Tracey) Brezina, daughter Crystal Brezina and grandchildren, Austin (Aleena) Brezina and Haylea Heimpel. She is survived by her sisters, Lori Artzner and Terri (John) O'Donoghue, her niece Shay (Dave) and nephew Keenan O'Donoghue. She is also remembered by her longtime friends Tina Gordon and Belinda Barclay.

Deb had recently retired from her careers at Krug Furniture and Softcare Innovations. She had a work ethic like no other and never missed a day of work. She was a selfless women who devoted her life to her family and friends. She loved to make amazing themed meals and tended lovingly to her beautiful flowers and plants.

We will celebrate Deb’s life, as she would have wanted by all being together and sharing stories at a later date, closer to her birthday in May.

As expressions of sympathy, donations to The Lung Health Foundation- Ontario or the Lions Foundation of Canada Dog Guides would be appreciated by the family (cards available at the funeral home).
