Obituary for Danielle Nicole Tench

Tench, Danielle Nicole:

Passed away unexpectedly on December 19, 2020 at her home in Guelph at the age of 27. Beloved daughter of Glenn and Gaby and cherished sister of Andrea. Danielle was predeceased by her loving Oma and Opa, Sophie and Alfred Nicolai, Nana and Grandpa, Jean and Keith Tench, as well as her Uncle Alf Nicolai and Uncle Don Tench. Danielle will be greatly missed by her extended family and friends.

Danielle was born on March 4, 1993 in Kitchener, where she grew up and attended Huron Heights Secondary School. Following high school, Danielle studied psychology at the University of Guelph. Throughout her schooling, Danielle excelled both academically and in extracurricular activities. She was a strong leader and was loved by both students and staff alike.

Danielle brightened every room she entered. Whether it be through her bubbly personality or beautifully singing the often slightly wrong words to a song, Danielle never failed to make her loved ones smile. She expressed herself through the arts; finding peace on the stage, Danielle danced elegantly with passion and grace. Danielle will be fondly remembered by many as always having her side-kick dog, Darcy, by her side.

Danielle was incredibly caring and kind; since she was young, she dedicated herself to helping others. Through her work as a behavioural counsellor and educational assistant, Danielle impacted the lives of many adults and children. She also sought to inspire others with her own journey through life, advocating for mental health and chronic illness awareness. Danielle fought many battles with great courage and bravery.

Danielle's family will receive relatives and friends from 5 to 8 p.m. on December 23, 2020 at the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick Street, Kitchener.
