The family of Daniel William Russell Hilborn, are saddened to announce his passing at St. Mary’s General Hospital, Kitchener, April 30, 2020 at the age of 62.
Loving father of Melissa (Chadwick Ziegler) of Waterloo; Danielle (Travis Thompson) of Tiverton; and Chantel (Mike Felker) of Hamilton.

Predeceased by his parents Russell (2001) and Mary (1992) Hilborn, former wife Deborah Ann Hilborn (nee Whitehouse) (2019) and his granddaughter Samantha (2015)
Daniel was born in Cambridge, Ontario May 24, 1957, where he learned about farming on the family farm, the same farm where he ended up raising his three beautiful daughters.
Daniel worked for Hostess Frito Lay as a truck driver for approximately 24 years, where he then went on to work for several towing companies around the region. He had a passion for building demolition cars with his daughters on the farm and then demoing them at the local fairs and speedways. You could usually find him at the local Tim Horton’s on Ottawa Street Kitchener, having coffee with many friends and acquaintance that he met along his many years on the road. He was known for his love of stories and bad jokes that he encountered over the years.
Private cremation has taken place. Arrangements entrusted to the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Fredrick Street, Kitchener, 519-749-8467. A celebration of life will be held a later date.
In lieu of flowers, as expressions of sympathy, donations to the Kidney Foundation and the Diabetes Association would be appreciated by the family (cards available at the funeral home)
