Obituary for Cyril Harper

Harper, Cyril

Passed away peacefully at Trinity Village on Sunday, April 25, 2021 at the age of 91. Beloved husband of the late Julienne (nee LeBlanc). Loving father of Sharon (Mike Owens) and Julie (Elias Demetro). Proud PaPa of Patricia (Sean), Catherine (Paul) and Breno and great grandfather of Natalyn, Amber, Megan, Brandon and Alyssa. Dear brother of the late Robert Vincent Harper, Frances Green, Margaret Harper and Helen Harper. Cyril was loved by his brothers and sisters-in-law. Uncle Cyril will be fondly remembered by Roger and Lori LeBlanc and by the rest of his nieces and nephews.

Cyril was a devoted and faithful Catholic. As a 45 year member of St. Anne's Church he actively participated in ministry and service through Out of the Cold, St. Vincent de Paul and as Eucharistic Minister. Helping others was important to him. Through volunteering for KW Raise and KW Friendly Visitors he proudly received a certificate from the Province of Ontario recognizing his contributions. Cyril was a hard-working provider including 25 years at Hi-Way Market. As a loving Dad he spent many hours with his girls, supporting their activities and continued to find joy in the time he spent in their adult lives and his grandchildren. He was an amateur musician and songwriter, loved reading and writing, and was a self-published author. We spent many week-ends at the cottage "play house" in Penetanguishene. It was always a project in the making. Dad was always busy fixing or making something. He will be missed by all whose lives he touched. Thank you to all the staff at Trinity Village Long Term Care for their care and compassion.
