Obituary for Clarence Roy Armbruster

Armbruster, Clarence Roy

Peacefully passed away at Hospice Waterloo Region on Tuesday, March 26, 2024 at the age of 89. He is now reunited with his beloved wife Eileen (December 2023). Loving father of Robert Armbruster (Robyn Aikens) and Linda Hessel (Stewart Tripp). Proud grandpa of Ashley Hessel, Lisa Hessel (Dan Tardif), Benjamin (Carlee) Hessel, Liam Aikens-Armbruster and Evan Aikens-Armbruster and great-grandpa of Brook-Lynn, Braedan, Baylee and Emmett.
Predeceased by his parents Wilhelmina and Valentine Armbruster, brother Gordon Armbruster (Ruth) and son-in-law Wayne Hessel.

Clarence was an excellent 10 pin bowler and served as President in his bowling league. He enjoyed golf, wood-working, puzzles, watching Kitchener Rangers hockey and volunteering at the polls during election time. Clarence split much of his spare time between playing cards at the Rockway Centre and shuffleboard at the Downtown Centre. After a lengthy career at Canada Post, Clarence and Eileen enjoyed many trips together, where they made lifelong memories. Clarence's greatest treasure however, was his family, whom he loved so dearly, and the home he built with them.

Clarence's family wishes to extend their heartfelt gratitude to Dr. Tan of Hospice Waterloo Region and the PSW's and nurses, provided by CarePartners and CBI Home Health, for their compassionate care.

Cremation has taken place. Clarence's family will receive relatives and friends from 1:00 PM - 3:00 PM on Monday, April 1, 2024 at the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick Street, Kitchener, 519-749-8467.

As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Lutherwood Child & Family Foundation would be appreciated by the family (cards available at the funeral home).
