Obituary for Chris Moore

Moore, Christopher

With absolutely broken hearts we share the news that Chris Moore passed away suddenly and unexpectedly on Monday night, November 14th at the age of 51. Chris loved his family and chosen family above all. Loving husband to Jill, devoted father to Alex (Maddy) and Sydney (Alex). Little brother to Darlene and Shawna. Chosen brother of our street family. Chris is reunited in heaven with his Mom (Joyce) and Dad (Edward), brother Kevin and our dear pups Holly, Mackenzie and Maya.

Chris will be sorely missed by all the groups he counted as family: McMoore family, Street Family, Century Group family and Sun Life FC 46 family.

He was a true salesperson, holding various sales roles at Sun Life for almost 30 years. One of the proud founding partners of Century Group Financial Solutions in 2008, Chris was an educator, trusted advisor and friend to his team, colleagues and clients. He achieved the highest level of professional excellence while maintaining a fierce commitment to family, including always being home for dinner and tucking us in to bed.

Chris loved the Montreal Canadiens, the Toronto Blue Jays, AC/DC, Nascar, bad Dad jokes, concerts, the Christmas Vacation movie, trips to Home Depot and Canadian Tire, and watching terrible tv shows on the Discovery Channel. He enjoyed pool days in our backyard oasis, summer evenings at the fire table and hosting musical trivia games at the basement bar. An avid traveller, Chris visited so much of the world and was happiest when he had our next trip planned. He was always the sharpest dressed guy in the room and arguably Amazon’s best customer. Chris loved his collections of watches, ball caps, sunglasses, sports jerseys, cars… and black T-shirts. We will be lost without Chris as our social event organizer, neat freak and tech help guru.

“All I want is to hold you forever
All I need is you more every day
You saved my heart from being broken apart
You gave your love away
And I’m thankful everyday
For the gift.”
