I was very saddened to hear of he passing of my former colleague Dr Charlie Burns. I remember Charlie as a dedicated professional who was always very pleasant and easy to work with. He was a gentleman in all the meanings of that word. He was a member of the group who, at that time,made Chem Eng at Waterloo one of the best departments in the world. My sincere condolences to all his family.
