Catherine Ann (Cathy) Lane, age 63, passed away peacefully at Grand River Hospital on Sunday, July 17th, 2022 surrounded by the love of her family after a courageous battle with Leukemia.
Cathy was a beloved wife of 24 years to Don Lalonde, whom adored her beautiful blue eyes. She was a loving mother of Tara Lane (Kirk Laurin), Donny Lane and Dale Lane. As well as a dear grandma to Alex Lane.
She was born and raised in Toronto, Ontario with her parents and 5 siblings but relocated to Kitchener/Waterloo in 1992. She was a lifelong homemaker with simple pleasures and small means but often dreamed of one day, winning the big jackpot. Her favorite pastimes were playing bingo at the local hall and playing cards with family and friends. She loved listening to music which often lead to singing and dancing around the house.
Cathy’s family will receive family and friends on Saturday, July 23rd, 2022 from 3:00 - 5:00 PM at the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick St. Kitchener 519-749-8467.
A private family memorial service will take place on Sunday, July 24th, 2022 at 10:30 AM in the chapel of the funeral home, followed by a reception.
