Obituary for Catherine Divaris

Catherine Divaris
CATHERINE DIVARIS
23 FEBRUARY 1931- 20 MARCH 2020

Catherine passed away peacefully on the 20 March 2020. She was born February 23,1931 in Mistra, Greece. She was the loving wife of George, and Mother of Dimitrios (Demo) and Gerassimos (Gerry) . She was proud of her daughter- in -laws Irene and Soula and her much loved grandchildren Catherine, Aliki, Jenny and Georgina.

Catherine lived her life to its fullest extent. She experienced the occupation of her birthplace during World War II, and emigrated to Southern Africa after the war where she met the love of her life, George. Together they worked selflessly for their sons to ensure that they were well armed to meet the world. Her gentle voice would calm the greatest fear, her loving embrace would sooth, her humour would always lift our spirits and her courage inspirational.

Respecting the social distancing and to keep our family safe, Catherine's funeral is private. Interment Parkview Cemetery.

Donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or Sts. Peter and Paul Greek Orthodox Church would be appreciated and obtained through Henry Walser Funeral Home (519-749-8467).
