Briski, Branka (nee Kovacevic)
Passed away unexpectedly at home, on Tuesday, August 20, 2019 at the age of 66.
Beloved wife of Drago Briski for 49 years.
Loving mother of Allen Briski, Kimberley Pickering (Sean), Christian Briski (Billi).
Proud Baka of Anthony, Mason, Hudson and Riel.
Dear sister of Josephine Kovacevic.
Will be missed by her sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by her parents Josip and Marija Kovacevic and her brother Tonic Renka.
Branka’s passion for cooking and the love she had for her family and friends was undeniable.
She was loyally dedicated to her coworkers and always ensured equal rights for every employee.
We love you mama, rest in peace.
Branka’s family will receive relatives and friends from 2:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. on Friday, August 23, 2019 at the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick St., Kitchener, ON N2B 2A5, 519-749-8467. Holy Rosary at 8:00 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Holy Family Croatian Church, 180 Schweitzer St., Kitchener on Saturday, August 24, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. Interment to follow. Reception will take place at the funeral home following the interment.
As expressions of sympathy, donations to St. John’s Soup Kitchen c/o The Working Centre or Anselma House c/o Women's Crisis Services of Waterloo Region would be appreciated by the family (cards available at the funeral home).
