Obituary for Bonnie Lou Anderson

Anderson, Bonnie

It is with profound sadness that the family of Bonnie Anderson (nee Witzel) announces her peaceful passing on February 20, 2023 at the age of 71. Bonnie was a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend who will be greatly missed by all who knew her. She will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 33 years, Doug Anderson; children: Ryan Eby, Shaun Eby (Leanne), and Tanya Farnan (Rory); grandchildren: Preston, Mia, Anderson, Michael, Rocky, Alexander, Liam, and Cruz; sister Sherri Prong (David); as well as many relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her parents, Verluss and Beatrice Witzel.

Bonnie was a selfless woman who was always there to provide love and support to her family and friends. She spent her life working tirelessly to provide opportunities for her kids, and would proudly boast about all of their accomplishments. Bonnie always welcomed everyone in with open arms, and truly enjoyed caring for others.

Her passion for nature was rooted in the "Wagner Green Thumb", and was proudly displayed in her many gardens around the family home. She also had a secret recipe for keeping her hummingbirds happy. When Bonnie wasn't in the garden, you would often find her in the kitchen prepping for her next gathering. Bonnie loved baking and cooking and loved to entertain at their home in Goderich. Bonnie touched the hearts of all who knew her, and will be sadly missed.

Special thanks to the ICU staff at Grand River Hospital for their care, guidance and support during this difficult time.

Please drop-in for a Celebration of Life gathering which will be held on Wednesday, March 1, 2023 from 5pm-8pm in the Ballroom at the Golf's Steak House 598 Lancaster St W, Kitchener. We ask that all who knew Bonnie to please join us to share memories.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Grand River Hospital - ICU as expressions of sympathy.

Arrangements entrusted to Henry Walser Funeral Home, 519-749-8467. Please visit www.henrywalser.com for Bonnie's memorial.
