Obituary for Bob Fehrenbach

Robert John Fehrenbach "Bob" passed away peacefully at Lisaard House on September 7 2023, at the age of 91. Born April 10, 1932, he lived his whole life in the village of Maryhill.

Beloved father of Gerald (Carol) and Ronald (Peggy).

Cherished grandfather of Craig (Laura), Keri-Lyn (Marv), Christine (Eric), Jeffery (Allison) and Tracy (Chris). Loving Great-grandfather of William, Landon, Shaelyn, Dakota, Sierra, Ryker, Hayden, Arya and Miles. Predeceased by his wife Rose, mother Annie, father John, Brothers Herbert, Lorne, John, Jerome, sisters, Gertrude and Lorraine.

Robert drove a milk truck picking up milk and dropping off at Royal Dairy in Guelph. He was employed by Merchant Rubber for a few years in 1951 and then retired in 1993 from Boehmers where he drove a Ready Mix Cement truck for 42 years receiving 40 safe driving medals. He was a member of Holy Name Society, Maryhill Fire Department and Knights of Columbus Chapter 6024. His love of farm and antique shows, playing cards with his many community friends, roasting pigs and going to auction sales kept him young and active.

A special thank you to the many palliative team members from St. Mary's Hospital and Lisaard House for their support and caring during this difficult journey.

Visitation will be held at Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick Street, Kitchener, 519-749-8467 from 5:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. on Monday, September 11, 2023. A funeral liturgy will be held in the funeral home chapel on Tuesday, September 12, 2023 at 10:30 a.m. followed by a luncheon held in the funeral home reception room. Private interment at St. Boniface Cemetery.

As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Lisaard & Innisfree Hospice or St. Mary's Hospital Foundation - Palliative Care would be appreciated by the family (cards available at the funeral home).
