Obituary for Betty Thiessen

Thiessen, Betty (nee Doerksen)

With profound sadness we share the news that Betty was called home to be with her Lord and Saviour on Saturday, April 30, 2022 at the age of 80.

She was selfless and gave generously of her time. She had the gift of hospitality and service and many will miss those conversations and meals she enjoyed providing.

Beloved wife of the late John Thiessen (2006). Forever in the hearts of her daughters, Becky and Kevin Wilson and Heidi and Chris Bene. Cherished sister of Ernie and Marlene, Ed and Joyce, and Irma Doerksen. Sister-in-law of Bill and Monika Thiessen and Helen and Peter Kroh. Lovingly remembered by her nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends. Daughter of the late Mary and Jacob F. Doerksen, and daughter-in-law of the late Agnes Thiessen. Betty also loved her "grand-puppies" Louie and Toby dearly.

We extend our deepest gratitude to the entire CVICU team at St. Mary's General Hospital and especially, Heather, John, Holly, Claire, Ruth, Marie, Mike, and Julia for your loving and compassionate care of our mom.
