Obituary for Barbara Ann Shewchuk
Shewchuk, Barbara Ann:
Passed away peacefully on April 28, 2022 at Cambridge Memorial Hospital at the age of 83. Barbara is survived by her siblings, John (late Joyce) and Frank (Joanne). She will be missed by her nephews John (Wendy), Joe, Paul (Julia) and Thomas. She is the great-aunt to Meaghan, Jayden and Jaclyn. She will be missed by her friends in the CWL and her graduating class of '56. Barbara was predeceased by her parents Peter and Mary Shewchuk.
Barbara was an acknowledged kindergarten teacher in the Catholic School Board for many years. She dedicated herself to the education of children and will be remembered by her many adoring primary children.
Barbara's family will receive relatives and friends from 10:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, May 4th, 2022 at the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick Street, Kitchener, 519-749-8467. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Anthony Daniel R.C. Church on Wednesday May 4, 2022 at 11:30 a.m. with interment at Woodland Cemetery to follow. Guests are invited to join the family at St. Anthony Daniel's Parish Life Centre following the interment.
As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Carmel of St. Joseph or St. Anthony Daniel R.C. Church would be appreciated by the family (cards available at the funeral home).
