Mourn for the loss of a bright engineer

Awn was a very bright first year Mechtronics student at the University of Waterloo (UWaterloo) in the fall of 2014. I tutored him in his programming course. He achieved excellent academic standing in all his first year courses. Then in the Fall of 2018 when Awn was in his second last study term at UWaterloo, he responded to my advertisement looking for part time teaching assistants to help first year Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE) students. Awn took on the job despite of his busy schedule and went above and beyond his call of duties in helping the ECE students who were programming beginners. Awn was kind, patient, caring, energetic, and multi-talented. He was well known at the Uwaterloo community due to his participation in various campus activities. Awn's passing is a great loss not only to his family and friends but also to the communities of UWaterloo, Waterloo/Kitchener, and the Engineering world. He would be remembered by the lives he touched. His smile and helpful spirit will forever live in people's hearts.
