Obituary for Arnie Clifton

Clifton, Arnold:

It is with heavy hearts that we announce Arnold Emmett Patrick Joseph Clifton Jr. passed away peacefully on April 19, 2022, after a long, courageous battle from cancer at the age of 65, with his loving wife by his side.

He is survived by his wife Nancy. His siblings: Daren (Kathleen), Diane (Larry), Beverly and Carol (Aime). His children: Janet (Jeff), Kimberly (Al), Tracy, Thomas (Danielle) and Tisha (Justin). His grandchildren: Nathan, Megan, Amber (Bryce), Kelsey, Austin (Kirsten), Sidney, Bailey, Darnell, Kayla (Elyjah), Bryanna, Kiara, Summer and Ella. His great-grandchildren: Aaliyah, Grayson, Anaya and Hudson, and his nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his father Arnold Sr. and his mother Eileen.

Arnold (Arnie) was born in Montreal, Quebec on March 7, 1957. He spent his life working hard and cherishing time with his family. Some of our most treasured memories are listening to him play his guitar, tapping his spoons, singing to his favourite songs, and watching the Montreal Canadiens play. He was always happiest when surrounded by his grandchildren and great-grandchildren who he considered to be his world. He touched the lives of many and will be dearly missed by his family and friends.

The family would like to express their gratitude and thank the palliative care nurses at the Freeport Hospital.

Arnie's family will receive relatives and friends from 5:00 - 8:00 p.m. on Sunday, April 24, 2022, at the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick Street, Kitchener, 519-749-8467. Funeral service will be held at 3:30 p.m. on Monday, April 25, 2022 in the funeral home chapel. Those unable to attend may join via live stream at https://www.henrywalser.com/live-streaming.
