The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Anne Fischer can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Thank you.

A Dear Friend

I had the honour of being Anne's caregiver over the last year and a half and will carry her in my heart forever. Anne was one of the most kind, giving, smart and funny women I've ever known. She had no problem giving me a good belly laugh at least twice a day. I will always only know Anne as an old woman; we met just three months before her 96th Birthday. I sat on the edge of my seat listening to her stories about being a young girl working and playing on the farm with her seven siblings, watching her Mother and Father work tirelessly, going to school to become a teacher, becoming a wife and Mother, teaching, volunteering, travelling, friendships, biking, walking, dancing, singing, reading and an avid lover of sweets. Anne's life was very full. I thank Anne's children, grandchildren and great grandchildren for sharing Anne with me. She will be missed dearly.
