Obituary for Angelika Ebert

Ebert, Angelika

August 30, 1970 – April 28, 2021

Angelika Ebert (nee Ermel) went home to be with her Lord the evening of Wednesday, April 28, 2021 with the comfort and company of family at the age of 50 years.
Angelika was born to Liebenzell missionaries Peter and Inge Ermel in Heidelberg, Germany the 30th of August 1970. As a child she excelled at math and music and was the youngest and only sister to three brothers; John-Michael, Andreas and Matthias Ermel. She always celebrated life and had the best combination of character from both parents with special touch to common sense, people, fairness, and consideration for everyone she met.
Angelika met her husband Bernhard Ebert at Willowdale Evangelical Church where her dad pastored, and they were married on June 5th, 1993 in Toronto, Ontario. They had one son Leighton and welcomed daughter-in-law Emily (nee Jones) in August of 2020. After her husband graduated from Wycliffe College Seminary in Toronto in 2000, she and her husband moved to Colorado. There, they ministered in Episcopal and Lutheran congregations in La Junta and Lamar as well as in those individual communities before moving to Kitchener, Ontario in 2011. There they served at Martin Luther Evangelical Church and the family has been there ever since. She was a helpful member of the German Alliance and a crucial person in organizing the Alliance Christkindl Market booth.
She will be sorely missed by her extended family and loved ones in the United States, Germany, Switzerland, and here in Canada. She will also be missed by friends, colleagues, and everyone who had the pleasure of working with her at the Waterloo Region Courthouse. We thank you for your prayers and warm wishes.

A private funeral service will be held at the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick St. Kitchener (519) 749-8467.
