Alfreda Mildred Pilot (nee: Slobodzian)

Passed away peacefully in her sleep at Trinity Village Care Centre on October 7, 2023 at 95 years old.

Predeceased by her brother, Alfred Slobodzian (2007), her husband, Joseph Pilot (2019) and her daughter, Janice Pilot (2020) she leaves behind her daughter, Sandra Pilot of Port Colborne.

She was a loving Baba to Heidi Kakonyi (Orin Thomas) and Michael Kakonyi, and great Baba to Cooper and Brody Poulton, all living in Grande Prairie, AB.

Her special niece, Kathy Dean and family of Waterloo and The Hoch Family: Allan, Rita, Deborah, Alex and Jen, of Kitchener for their great care.

Alfreda was proud to be a "Kitchener Girl." She played tennis, basketball and bingo and loved singing and dancing and going to the theatre. She loved playing Bridge with the "girls" and organizing her annual Christmas parties. Alfreda and Joe loved to travel, having been on many vacations, often times with their friends.

The family would like to thank the staff at Conestoga Lodge and Trinity Village Care Centre for the extraordinary care they have shown Alfreda over the past 4 years.

Alfreda lived a long and beautiful life, and leaves behind a legacy of love with her family. She is already greatly missed.

As per Alfreda's wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be no visitation. Arrangements entrusted to Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick Street, Kitchener, 519-749-8467.

In lieu of flowers, donations to the JM Drama Alumni in Kitchener would be appreciated by the family (cards available at the funeral home).
