Since we moved next to the Toolsie family in 1992, we have been graced with the most lovely people as our neighbours. We are so saddened to witness them losing such a gentle, loving son/brother/uncle. Alex always had a warm smile and greeting and would ask how we were doing and how our children were. We would watch how he loved kicking around a soccer ball with his niece and nephews. It was easy to see that family was everything to him and that coming home to visit his mom and Melanie's family was a special time for him.
We will miss his warm, mischievous smile and gentle personality. Our most sincere condolences go out to all the Toolsie and Bridgemohan family at this time of sorrow.

Dear Family and Friends of Alex,

I was very sad to learn today about the passing of Alex. I had the pleasure of working with Alex on several family law files, and our paths would often cross at the court house. He would always make a point of coming up to me to ask me how I was and to say hello. He was always very kind, well-spoken, and a compassionate and caring lawyer. He took a genuine interest in his clients' well-being, and he never let the conflict between the parties influence a cordial relationship between counsel (which is a very rare quality in our legal world). I also had the opportunity to hire Alex to appear on my behalf for matters when I could not attend. He always did a great job for me and was happy to accommodate. I can't tell you how very much I will miss his presence in the court house and our conversations. My deepest and sincerest condolences to his family and close friends. May his memory continue to live on in all the families that he helped find peace, stability, and move forward from conflict, and may his memory always be a blessing.

I have known Alex since he was a boy. He will always be Sasha to me. He was one of my son’s closest friends. He was a lovely child and grew into a lovely man. I’m so happy we met after my being away for thirty years and that we spoke just the other week. He will be deeply missed by everyone. Ian & Claudette Taylor (Haun)
