Hi Laurie, Brian and Jessica. Sincerest condolences from Nancy and I. Just watched the Service. It was fantastic. Jessica and Jody were both brave and amazing!
What I remember most about Aggie was our annual visits to her home to attend Oktoberfest. She always welcomed my friends and I with open arms. Always trying to feed us of course. It was always difficult getting a cab ride home from the Concordia Club, so I'm sure we woke her many times over the years. She never minded.
All the best to you guys. Take care.

So sorry I cannot be with you and your family today Jes. It was a lovely service and I am grateful that I was able to be a part of it through the live stream. Your words about your Nan were spoken from the heart and she heard every word you said. I will say that I laughed about her desire to shop - this sounds just like you. I laughed when you talked about convincing her to go to Disney and I'll bet this is a memory you will always treasure. Sending warm hugs from New Brunswick to you, your parents and family this sad but peaceful day.

Hi Laurie, Brian and Jessica - I'm terribly sorry for your loss. Aggie was wonderful; she was kind, generous and strong. She was every bit a grandmother to me. I don't think that I ever truly expressed just how grateful I was to have her nearby when I was living in K-W. I have so many good memories from that house on Manchester Rd. Love Janna.

One of my fond memories is visiting Aunt Aggie and Uncle Fred on Douglas St. when I was about 4 years old with my Gram. As usual Laurie and I started out playing in the rec room which always involved spinning each other in the ‘orange chair’ until we were so dizzy that the room spun and we could barely stand up straight. I don’t think we could walk either (but I was never sick) Oh such fun! Then being called up stairs for Sunday Dinner. Aunt Aggie was a terrific cook. However, when you’re 4 and the potatoes don’t look like your own Mom’s you might say ‘I don’t like those, they look funny!” And “I don’t want any!” Well, I’m still a picky eater but some how Aunt Aggie coaxed me to try her funny looking potatoes. Yum! Yum ! turns out they were scalloped with cheese on top. To this day those are my favourites, especially if any are left for frying the next day!
Also, love your butterscotch pie!

Miss you already.
